I'd say piano, you will develop a hand strength and coordination that will be applyable on guitar later, but the other way around would be harder, as for the 'sound', i don't agree, if you study properly music theory and learn to tune you guitar correctly you will get the right sound for the note and will pick up the tones from other instruments.. I play all of those instruments so it's tough for me to tell. i'll just tell you how i feel about each then i'll answer piano: once you know piano you can so much easier learn another instrument. you learn so much from piano. you play so many mor....
